BLACK OMERTA - A corrupt Marine Corps veteran living with dark family secrets and childhood trauma forges a dark side hiding in plain sight. An organized crime intermediary with connections to high-profile unsolved murders.
Let me give you some advice: If you've never been in a life and death situation where a major decision had to be made in the blink of an eye, it is not wise to judge the actions of those who have. You panic when it's your turn to order coffee...
If we donโt forgive, we canโt make it to Heaven. Jesus was clear about that. Forgiveness doesnโt mean the evil never happened, it just means weโre not letting it poison our hearts forever. The people who did these things are long gone, and honestly, even some blacks owned slaves too. It wasnโt just one race guilty of this, it was the sin of humanity. Satan was behind it, using greed and cruelty to turn people against each other.
We remember, not so we stay bitter, but so we honor those who suffered and make sure it never happens again. We forgive because Christ forgave us, and we move forward knowing this was never just a people problem, itโs always been the devilโs work. If we keep this in our hearts, we will remain captives, just of a different kind.
โI was driving home and saw a Marine Corps flag flying in front of a house in Arlington, TX. I drove home as that house was just around the corner from me. This may sound crazy, but that's me. I went on to knock on the door and said I'm a Marine. I can see this old man sitting on his favorite chair, hear what I say, and see him trying to get out of that chair. I'm trying to tell him not to get up, but I will come to him. I told him that I was just checking in and asked if he needed anything. He said no, he was fine. We talked for about 20 minutes. So, as I was leaving, I saw he had tears in his eyes. I said Brother, what's wrong? He said that I was the 1st Marine to stop because of the flag. I asked what kind of a Marine I would be if I didn't check-in. So, if some guy ever knocks on your door, it may be me checking in. SEMPER FIDELIS. So, brothers and sisters, if you see a flag waving in front of a home, check in. It could make someone's day.โ -Johnny Rodrigues
