Iโm really glad to see more attention being paid to the importance of audio-video synchronization. I can always tell right away whether Junโs videos have sync issuesโmaybe itโs partly because Iโm sensitive to music, but more importantly, itโs because Jun is such a master at capturing musical details that itโs hard to believe he would perform a whole sequence out of sync with the music. That ability of his makes me even more aware of it. And I want to stress again that videos with audio-video mismatches are unfairโand even harmfulโfor skaters, especially for someone like Jun who is so good at skating to music. Iโve uploaded many corrected versions of past videos both here and on my YouTube channel, and Iโm really glad to see more of Junโs fans doing the same.
Thank you so much๐ฅฐ
If youโre so concerned about being 'rude,' you wouldnโt be dragging an uninvolved person into a dating war to begin with. They have plenty of duo photos, yet you specifically chose two photo's with Jun to push the 'just friends' narrative. Thatโs not being 'inclusive,' thatโs using him as a prop. Stop the name-calling and start using some logic.
Youโre missing the point. This has nothing to do with 'cancel culture' or who Jun hangs out with. My point is that using a group photo of him to 'prove' that the other two are 'just friends' is logical fallacy. Jun wasnโt at their private dates or part of their flirty comments. Stop using him as a shield or a tool to shut down rumors that he has nothing to do with.
@verybadideaugh Once again, Iโve done everything I can. Iโll leave the rest to all of you. Itโs time for me to go spend Chinese New Year with my family โ I havenโt taken care of any family responsibilities these past few days at all, which is already pretty irresponsible of me๐
I am extremely proud of Junhwan for achieving fourth place at this Winter Olympics. What made me happiest was seeing him perform both programs with such wholehearted effort and enjoyment, and he himself felt very satisfied with his skating.
I believe this Olympics was a success and a memorable experience for him, and I am truly happy for him. I know he will be taking some time off to rest and focus on his physical and mental well-being. I still hope to see him on the ice in the future, but I will fully respect his decision.
I hope Junhwan stays healthy and happy in the days ahead!
Let me add one more case that Iโve seen being discussed as well: Daiweiโs 3Lz in the 2025 Worlds FS. After stepping out, he supported himself on the ice with one hand, and it was judged as a fall, with all GOEs given as โ5.
Since this element was judged as a fall, it is difficult to understand why other similar, or even more severe situations were not judged as falls. The lack of a consistent standard in officiating seems to have caused some confusion.
This jump involved landing with both hands touching the ice, which should be judged as a fall. However, no deduction was applied on the detailed score sheet. I believe the Korean team should file a protest, and Junhwan should be the 2026 Four Continents champion.
Another example: Koshiroโs 3Lzโ3T in the 2024 IDF SP. After landing the jump, he stepped out and supported himself with both hands on the ice, this was unquestionably a fall.
To be clear, the common thread among these examples is that they all involved both hands on the ice and were judged as a fall. While the specific circumstances of each error varyโand in fact, itโs rare to find two errors that are exactly the sameโthese cases at least demonstrate that a fall isn't limited to just landing on one's buttocks.

@ALfigureskating@N_nshai I have another example like this. Koshiro Shimdada lost balance at his 3lz3t with two hands on ice while hip didn't touch the surface.(24idf sp) he also got a deduction of fall.
If you are referring to me, I can tell you with absolute certainty that all of my claims regarding this matter were published openly. I have also clearly stated that the scoring is the responsibility of the judges and has nothing to do with the athlete themselves. I have never, in any form, privately sent my opinions to Mr. Miura, and I am firmly opposed to such behavior. Please apologize for your irresponsible speculation.
โIn my view, engaging in a dignified public discussion to express one's claims and attacking an athlete directly in private are two completely different things. I do not understand why you are conflating the two. Let me state this once more: regardless of what opinions one may have about the judging, no one has the standing to question the athlete, as athletes are not responsible for scoring themselves!
I never said that the judging standard is โboth hands on the ice = fall.โ I am simply giving examples where placing both hands on the ice was judged as a fall, because many people believe that only landing on the buttocks counts as a fall, and I hope this can at least be helpful to that group of people.
@N_nshai@2hx65773 I am giving examples where placing both hands on the ice was judged as a fall, not examples that are completely identical to Kaoโs situation.
