@lane_d12@PolitlcsUK They probably do enjoy wondering at our streets whilst wandering about seeing as they are unable to legally do much else. Plus if they come illegally how can Labour stop them coming due to criminality?
Minimum wage in 2005 was £5.05 and a Freddo was 10p. Meaning that one hour of work got you 50 Freddos.
Fast forward to 2025, minimum wage is £12.21 and a Freddo is 35p. Now one hour of work will only get you 34 of them.
That's a 142% rise in pay but a 250% rise in frog shaped chocolate bars.
If wages had kept up with the price Freddos, the minimum wage would be £17.50 an hour.
The economy’s in shambles and yes I’m measuring it in chocolate frogs. But this post is about more than that. Too many people are working full time and struggling to survive because absolutely everything is increasing faster than wages.
Something needs to change.
@marksandspencer what’s happened to your Colin the caterpillar raspberry sweets? The flavour has changed: is it a recipe change or is it a dodgy batch?
Loving the mini caterpillars though! Super tasty.
@punishedmother I think it’s time you asked them for a share of the rent etc. because two extra adults is way too much to be supporting. Regardless of their horrible views.
@piemag_@jenpinbowl@VoteReform2029@AndyCar45312691@dave43law @craighooper8 But you do know that the film is a bunch of lies which was proven in court. Hence why Robinson is in trouble for posting/showing this film. So please read about the case and wonder why this guy wants to lie to you?
The #GeneralElection2024 is tomorrow.
It's also my first time voting in a general election - after becoming British (at the council in Huntingdon) 4 years ago.
I could have never imagined when I moved to the UK 12 years ago that I'll be a citizen, a councillor and now the Labour parliamentary candidate in Huntingdon.
There have been so many people during my journey in politics who have supported me - I am in politics because I want to use my lived experience as well as my experiences in work and local government to create opportunities for others - especially those who have not been as lucky as I have been.
This campaign has only been possible due to hundreds of hours of volunteer time, from the leaflet bundling after midnight after days of work and council meetings, to the weekend canvassing across towns and villages, to the daily social media videos showing some of the realities of the campaign.
Whatever the result tomorrow, I will be forever grateful to all those who supported me during this amazing journey.
Change is possible in Huntingdon if you vote for it. Polls are open from 7am - 10pm.

@Daily_Record Hi, what are you doing under the? Under there. and I’ve got a sore back. Don’t know we’ve got more posting to do this afternoon.are you yet
@razzlededazzle It wouldn’t be rigged at all if reform do well. It’s quite easy to say things that people want to hear & reform are doing that. People want easy hope.
@ukkulak1 That’s really so untrue. I would suggest that you look closely at your local mp choices and pick the best for you. Then do the same with manifestos by reading them. At the least the country needs a new direction. The picture is a gross misrepresentation
I’m simply horrified to see @NHSEngland now literally breaking the law in how it misrepresents physician associates & other allied health professional - who are NOT doctors - to the public.

@JournalistJill Or you mean rip curl was great for showing a woman and how their brand was for everyone. And now they have chosen a different woman and still the brand is for everyone. Because swimwear is for anyone. Is this the hill to die on?
