I think Texas might take the cake for having the most bland college baseball park in the country.
Everything is green and plastic and their national championships are listed on the corner of a parking garage that you can't even see unless you get a certain camera angle.
Since 2012, South Carolina has won more regionals than Coastal has in their entire history.
These Coastal fans have gotten way too big for their britches lately.
@AlwaysCFB@GregMcElroy Wait until star players who are 50/50 or 60/40 coinflips to play in ranked 95 even rivalry matchups are told to sit by the staff because they can afford the extra loss on the résumé.
They could even argue the inverse of the "Jordan Travis" rule come Selection Sunday.
@Brett_McMurphy This is at least multiple years behind what several CFB pundits have already been saying.
We'll be two years into the 24-team playoff before coaches say: "Man, the regular season is really watered down these days."
Two sobering baseball facts today:
- 2026 marks the first time ever that the state of South Carolina will have three teams in the Tournament, and neither South Carolina nor Clemson are included.
- South Carolina has only claimed a Top 16 National seed once since 2017
@Dowell_Movement Correct, first time both things are true that I stated in my tweet.
Three teams from SC made it and Carolina and Clemson weren't in the group.
We Gamecocks have a saying right after the opening kickoff of a football game in the Fall, and I think it's appropriate here in light of Stephen Garcia's cancer diagnosis:
Go! Fight! Win! KICK {CANCER'S} ASS No. 5!
The coaches have spoken: In a vote last week, the AFCA Board swung its support behind (1) a playoff with the max participants (likely 24); (2) discontinuing conference championships; and (3) ending CFP by second week of January, they tell @YahooSports.
