As you may know, I have spent the past 25 years growing cells in culture as part of my work in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Over time, I have become increasingly concerned about our impact on the planet and how it will affect future generations. In the last 5 years, I have focused on developing technologies to make sustainable food through cell bioprocessing.
One of my achievements is the development of a cultivated meat process that addresses the current challenges of factory farming. Along the way, we also devised a method to eliminate animal slaughter from FBS production. We collect platelet-rich plasma from free-range cows through a plasmapheresis process, which provides a rich cocktail of growth factors. These cows live on a ranch and contribute to carbon sequestration through sustainable farming practices. The platelet lysate we collect meets the needs for growing cells in culture, as demonstrated in the attached white paper with numerous third-party validations.

I have news! I just joined @TIFRH_buzz as faculty 2 weeks ago. It's a crazy change after 11 years of living in the US! But I'm super excited to work with students in India to study animals in the tropics, understand heterothermy better, and help shape Indian ecology!
Today might have seen the biggest physics discovery of my lifetime. I don't think people fully grasp the implications of an ambient temperature / pressure superconductor. Here's how it could totally change our lives.
The scarlet fever rash is historically described as bright red, but on people of color this can clearly be inaccurate; the rash may simply be flesh colored along with the characteristic sandpapery feel and appearance.

@mittenbery I book them assistance if they have very short layovers, otherwise they prefer to walk so that they can experience the airports at their own pace! 🤷😁
@Emmaduffy56 Thank you for your reply! Do you know if I can send my husband as proxy to stand in line for my elderly parents until check in? Is there anybody checking tickets before check in?
Human eyes only see the world through the very narrow 'visible spectrum' of electromagnetic radiation. But not all creatures see the world in the same light. Quite literally.
Bees for example can see shorter wavelengths and for them flowers look even more spectacular 🧵1/12
