#Congratulations Indian-American dalit professor Shailaja Paik, who researches & writes about Dalit women, has received a 'Genius' grant of $800,000 (Rs 6.7 crore) from the MacArthur Foundation. Shailaja comes from a Dalit community. She spent her childhood in the slums of Pune.
