The Front Range corridor is quickly becoming home to the largest concentration of quantum and hard tech organizations in the US. A massive aerospace economy, a premier hub for defense technology, and a deep talent pool that keeps producing founders who pick hard problems on purpose.
Thanks to everyone who came out and to my co-hosts for a great event! @konvoycapital@jpmorgan@CamberRoad
Despite our name, we invest across the country and Austin is a place we've been doubling down on. The energy in the room made one thing clear: although Austin founders can come across as casual, their approach to building next-gen businesses is not! More to come. π€
This weekend we lift up all the fallen heroes and their families! We thank you for your service from the bottom of our hearts so we can live in the greatest country in the world! Jesus lift them up πΊπΈ
And that's a wrap on year three.
Nearly 150 investors and founders convening in Denver for a full day covering fund progress, founder stories, honest conversations about lessons learned, multiple cups of DV lattes, and a real look at what's ahead.
This community - our LPs, our founders, the people who showed up from day one is why I love what I do. Can't wait to do it again (but first vacation)!
Last Thursday, we brought 150+ investors & founders together for our Annual Investor Summit in Downtown Denver. β‘
Fireside chats. Founder showcases. Real conversations about where we're headed.
We walked away more fired up than ever. Here's to the builders!
@iPaulLee Great point. However those legal and audit / tax firms are not viable options for smaller fund managers. I recommend Scott Kitchens at Cole Frieman and a few other CPA firms when I talk to emerging managers.
Excited to announce that Michael So is joining Aalo as our VP of Programs.
Michael previously led the Cybercab program at Tesla, and played major roles on Cybertruck and Model Y.
He's been a leader in Austin's manufacturing scene since the early days of Tesla's presence here, commissioning the 1st Giga Texas production line, building its 1st car, and scaling production.
At Aalo, Michael will help to create the nuclear product that will make affordable, smaller nuclear reactors a reality.
Welcome to the team Michael!
Top 5% of seed rounds now routinely topping $175M in valuation.
Up 3x effectively over the last 12 months.
Just a whiff of 2021-era ridiculousness about (even as an AI believer).
As we enter the build phase for our first engine, Boom is moving to video updates for our investors.
Here is our most recent investor update (financial info redacted).
Hint: there is an Easter egg π₯
