That’s exactly what I’m saying Lamar should have done here, it was the exact same throw but Lamar left it low and behind him, making it a much tougher catch than Saquon had …

@JimSchule @phonzworth Yes, every QB is taught to throw it behind and below the waist of their receiver. If the ball is where the neon jacket is (like it should be) he makes an easy catch and walks into the end zone. Instead he had to try to do a running 180 while falling backwards

@phonzworth @JimSchule I’m begging you to watch the end zone cam replay. He was a yard short of the line. If he just secures the ball and goes down he’s short and they don’t convert. The drop was bc he had to go down for the ball (bc of the low throw) and also lean back into the endzone simultaneously
