“A lot of bands get caught in that grind, and they go, ‘Oh, all we do is put out an album and tour.’ But we love that. Like, that’s why we do this.”

yes you should go to local shows & see small bands at small venues but also i think it’s completely reasonable to also want to see a popular artist without taking out a personal loan
living in an age where im watching live music slowly die because its turning into an art for the rich. do people forget that fans are the BACKBONE of the industry? artists would be nowhere without fans, live music wouldn’t be a thing without fans.
ppl saying "stop having support acts during shows" did you forget that ur fav was a support act??💀💀in 2005, taylor swift opened for Rascal Flatts. in 2012 one direction opened for big time rush. ed sheeran opened for snow patrol. lady gaga opened for the pussycat dolls.
People saying Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance was lazy and boring is crazy to me. It’s all about the connection to the fans and the journey. Not everything has to be a giant spectacle with 1000 dancers. I personally love when an artist just goes out and sings. The real fans loved every second of it. It was raw and different, which is perfect to me.

“It’s an attempt to reconcile who I used to believe I was with who I am becoming. It’s me seeing the world for the first time and letting myself enjoy the ugly parts.”
