This week's Vella episode mentioned lobster cars in "Rising Tide - A Seaside Romance." Here's what a lobster car is (floating dock with a building)... and isn't (or, maybe it is?).
Well, didn't get all the words in I'd hoped on that last #writingsprint. But I did rip a bunch out and put better ones in! That counts, right? #amwriting#amediting (and apparently, #amrevising!)
@AsthanaAuthor RISING TIDE - A SEASIDE ROMANCE is now available on Kindle Vella! First three episodes are free. Updated on Tuesdays. #justkisses https://t.co/I7vUjUTJk1
That moment when you discover a crutch word in your manuscript ...in over 50 pages! Apparently, I like the word sort. I have all sorts of sorts. Sorts of. Sorts out. Of sorts. Some sorts. Sorts of things. This sort. That sort. Ugh. So many sorts. #amediting#amrevising#sorting
Watching @plotwhisperer video courses on revision. Great stuff! Really having to pull myself back from watching all the videos in one sitting. #dothehomework#pacing
@laurenbeehler@APStylebook Oh, for sure! It demeans women specifically and, I'm all for adjusting language for parity. My beef is that the @APStylebook is the official word influencer and lover/companion just does not cut it for adulterers.
@laurenbeehler@APStylebook Because the trickledown whitewashing of language in the media starts with the @APStylebook. To call a person who has entered into an adulterous relationship a "lover" or "companion" undermines the sanctity of marriage. It's insulting to the families and victims of adultery.
