Plenty of children came to Wyre Forest on 10th August for a geo-craft day. Here is the room ready for a full day of fun. The next fun day is 17th August at Severn Valley Country Park.
Up until the 30th of August Worcester Cathedral is running a Fossils in the Geopark event including displays from Lapworth Museum and a detective trail to discover the geology of the cathedral.

In Bewdley, easily viewed from the pavement, there is this exposure of dune bedded desert sandstone from a geological period known as the Permian gives an insight in to the environment some 290 million years ago. One of many rock outcrops in the Geopark that have public access.
St Helen's is perhaps the oldest church site in Worcester, & was also our home for 40 years. The 75th anniversary of the Record Office prompted us to look back at our time there. It brings back lots of memories for staff & visitors
