The purpose of the AMIS STEM Academy is to teach learners to explore, create, and innovate by engaging in problem solving using the Engineering Design Process.
AMIS STEM Academy Bridge Camp 2022 was held today for all new STEM Navigators. Learners were able to meet some of the designers and other learners from AMIS They also got a glimpse of things to come by completing tasks requiring collaboration, creativity, communication, and more.
5th Grade Learner groups attempted to conquer coding challenges using the Sphero Bolts during Exploratory. They will switch to their final STEM Exploratory on Monday!

6th Grade learners created digital All About Me presentations by creating numerical expressions using order of operations that represent personal things about themselves such as name, birth month, family size, or creating their own.
6th Grade STEM ELAR Designer, Mrs. Peterson, out walking Shaquille Oatmeal. The learners researched bearded dragons & voted on a name for their new class pet! They’re starting #novelengineering they’ll read a book and pick a problem from the book to create a product to solve.
Friday Sing a Long and Code!
