I was going through the shareholder lists of DCB Bank and found that AKFED (Agha Khan Fund for Economic Development) is a promoter. They are also the largest shareholder for Habib Bank in Pakistan.
What generated my interested is that they also own the Serena Hotel (venue for the US-Iran talks) which Pakistan govt could not pay for. AKFED wrote off the amount.
What is even more shocking is that AKFED was Promoter - founder for HDFC LTD as well. They have all the data released by RBI as promoters of largest bank as well as a scheduled bank.
Now think of Rajiv kumar's appointment on HDFC.
