How did the TRAVERSE CV risk trial on testosterone therapy not get more media attention?! For 10y the only thing most MDs knew about T was “a big 2013 study in JAMA showed increased CV risk.” 10y later we learned DEFINITIVELY it’s not true.

Long-awaited Traverse Trial shows no difference in MACE between testosterone and placebo groups in 5246 men treated for mean 22 months. Reassuring, not surprising.

Pros (vs. URS):
- fewer complications
- no stent ➡️ fewer procedures
- less anesthesia
- less pain
Cons (vs. URS):
- worse stone-free rate
