Alumni in Action: Andrew Kuhar '05

Growing up in a close-knit family with strong Slovenian roots, Andrew Kuhar ’05 was always surrounded by creativity. From designing a video game tournament poster at Saint Ignatius to discovering digital art, Photoshop, and 3D modeling, his love of drawing and storytelling slowly took shape. Today, he serves as Senior UI/UX Product Designer at thatgamecompany, supporting Sky, a live service game played by millions worldwide.

A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Andrew credits Saint Ignatius with teaching him how to think, communicate, and understand that excellence comes in many forms. From service programs to influential teachers, he found space to grow creatively while learning to be a Man for Others.

For current and future Wildcats, Andrew emphasizes the power of community. Saint Ignatius places students among a wide range of people and perspectives. An opportunity, he says, that should never be taken for granted. “Build relationships, be open to others, break down barriers, and help when you can. Those connections, formed early, often last a lifetime and shape who you become.”
