🇨🇦 Advancing antimicrobial stewardship in Canada
Work continues on the Canadian Antibiotic Treatment Guidance (CATG) a national AMMI Canada initiative developing evidence-based antibiotic prescribing recommendations to support clinicians across the country.
Funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the guidance is being developed by a national multidisciplinary expert panel, including McMaster researchers Deborah Yamamura, Mark Loeb and Dena Zeraatkar.
The guidance is available to clinicians through Firstline, helping bring evidence-based recommendations to the point of care.

Research shows that outstanding contributions — particularly by women and underrepresented groups — are often less likely to be formally recognized. A strong and diverse nomination pool helps address this imbalance.
We encourage all members to:
• Champion inclusivity
• Spot hidden talent
• Recognize non-traditional excellence
• Be mindful of unconscious bias
Your nomination plays a vital role in shaping a fair and inclusive awards process.
