The March to Kigali is led by a group of like-minded CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) representing a range of Francophone and Anglophone African nations. It builds on the existing partnerships and platforms of the No to NTDs and Zero Malaria Starts with Me campaigns.
NCDs such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and stroke cause nearly 3 in 4 deaths globally. Many can be prevented through healthy lifestyles, reduced tobacco and alcohol use, regular physical activity, and better nutrition.
