An empty bus pulled into Ridgland Farms in Wisconsin last week and emerged with more than 150 rescued beagles – who had never felt grass or fresh air in their lives. More than 2,000 beagles had been already rescued from the farm, a controversial biomedical research and breeding facility.

CBS News' @adamyamaguchi got to be there as the remaining dogs – many of them puppies – had their first taste of freedom. Many of the dogs were paralyzed with fear as they finally exited the cages they had been trapped in and entered the unknown world of caring human beings and safety.

After protesters tried to break into the facility to rescue the dogs earlier this year, the facility decided to shut down its breeding operations. The remaining beagles were taken to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida, where they will be put up for adoption.

His steps steadier. His eyes brighter.
He began following me around, wagging his tail in quiet moments.
He wasn't just resting anymore.
He was living.
Months passed, and Max was still there-greeting me at the door, curling up beside me, choosing me every single day. Maybe I thought I was giving him an ending.
But somehow... he gave me more time instead.
And in the end, it didn't feel like goodbye at all.

@progressive @progressive good afternoon. I’m having a hard time reaching anyone to finally settle my claim with you guys. I first started the claim in September 2025, however, the person assigned to my claim has not been answering the phone for months, literally months. With no update.

@progressive I’ve been insured for over 10 years with Progressive, no claims in that time, and I can’t get a reply from your reps on how my claim moves forward. At this point I’ve paid more to you than you would be covering for this claim. Absolutely absurd.

@progressive Unless your mom dies. Then it takes forever to cancel the policy and they send docs and refund to her address she hasn't been at for months. I guess that's the way they keep more money.

Never never never get insurance from this company.
My daughter in law was hit in a parking lot by a truck.
The person who hit her also has progressive.
The damage is to the rear quarter panel of her car.
Zero damage to her bumper.
She had pulled out of space, had stopped to put it in drive when the truck pulled out and hit her.
She was stationary.
It’s evident by where the damage is.
Progressive said they can do nothing until the guy calls them back, he won’t return their call.
So here we sit 7 days later, zero help.
Beautiful car thst was in pristine condition, damaged.
It is her only mode of transportation, she needs it repaired and a rental paid for.
Progressive is doing everything it can to not help.
The claims adjusters are rude, and DGAF!!!
Choose any other company besides Progressive.
Horrible product, horrible customer service.
