Thanks again to @mikeipps@AMSLFedSoc for hosting me, even absentee, for a Constitution Day talk. We went from George Carey to Brent Bozell on conservative critiques of judicial supremacy and the modern constitutional order. Questions were excellent and the students incisive!
As we reflect on the 25th anniversary of September 11th, we honor all of the victims, the bravery of first responders, the sacrifice of service members, and the resilience of a nation bound together by liberty. πΊπΈ

To understand the Founders, we have to understand the ideas that shaped them.
The Virtue Reading Group pairs philosophical works with historical sources, examining the continuities, tensions, and divergences within the rich intellectual tradition.
The 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is an invitation for every American to consider the moral foundations of the Republic. One of these moral foundations that many of the Founders spoke often and earnestly about was "virtue."
This fall, join us as we kick off the Virtue Reading Group. In this Federalist Society Reading Course, we will read through works of moral philosophy that informed the views and decisions of the Founders.

I am pleased to nominate Peter Mansfield, who has the strong support of Senator John Kennedy and Senator Bill Cassidy, to serve as Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Peter has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New Orleans for more than twenty years, currently working as Chief of the Civil Division and, previously, as First Assistant. He received his Law Degree from Ave Maria School of Law, and his Undergraduate Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville. The people of Louisiana are lucky to have a dedicated Public Servant like Peter join the Federal Bench. Congratulations Peter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
