At 6:22 am #OTD in 1983, a truck carrying 2,000lbs of explosives drove into the Marine Compound in Beirut and crashed into the barracks of the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Battalion Landing Team. 220 Marines and 21 U.S. service personnel were killed by the truck bomb.

Today at 0846, the exact time the first plane struck the World Trade Center 19 years ago, the Museum commemorated the tragic events of 9/11 by laying a wreath at our Terror Strikes exhibit.
