And putting all involved in an impossible situation. This should have been a mistrial and because it was caused directly by the actions of the prosecutor, one that should end the case. But then what? The case against Clancy is dismissed and she just walks free, as in actually, free? No judge would do that. But what happens if there is a conviction? Is this now point 1 of the appellate brief? An appeals court would be setting horrific precedent to allow this particularly given the nature and circumstances of the questioning. This prosecution is a complete fiasco.
