@AshwiniVaishnaw I may be wrong, but I believe the Western Railway route between Mumbai and Vadodara is not fully quadruple-tracked throughout. I think the blue colour shown on this route may be incorrect.
@drmbct I don't know when @WesternRly@drmbct and @RatlamDRM will realise that there is a great need for a simple yet reasonably fast (not like the existing Tejas Exp!) daily new train between Indore and Mumbai via UJN-BRC, since both Avantika and Daund trains are always fully occupied.
@commctortm@RatlamDRM@WesternRly@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw Ma'am/Sir, it has been 3 days, and I am still waiting for a simple answer: Is break-journey booking in Sleeper Class still permitted? Also, how can I share my journey and contact details, given that I was unable to book a ticket using this facility at the PRS counter?
@RatlamDRM@WesternRly@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia Ma'am/Sir, has Indian Railways officially discontinued break-journey booking in Sleeper Class? Recently at Ujjain Jn., I was told it isn't permitted, while the official website still lists the facility: https://t.co/ANPWjv8Gdb.
@commctortm@RatlamDRM@WesternRly@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw Ma'am/Sir, As I mentioned very clearly that the post is meant to know whether the facility of booking a break-journey ticket in sleeper class is still allowed or not. So, for this basic information why am I supposed to share my details?
@RatlamDRM@WesternRly@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia Ma'am/Sir, it would be kind of you to clarify this doubt, as there have been several instances where IR has made significant internal changes without issuing any official circular for public information. Moreover, the said website(s) have not been updated for quite some time.
@RatlamDRM@WesternRly Sir/Ma'am, I found a severely damaged sleeper (refer to the image) between Poles P1109 and P1119 on the track between PF no. 3 and 4 at Ujjain Jn. Also, there are several sleepers nearby with marginal cracks. I noticed this, so I thought I should report it.
@RatlamDRM@WesternRly Sir/Ma'am, it is a well-known fact that INDB–UJN MEMU (69212), after arriving at Ujjain, operates as UJN–COR MEMU (69231) from the same rake and platform. However, the NTES app is showing different platform nos. for both trains. Please verify and correct it
@drmmumbaicr IRs has tightened penalties to improve accountability. It should also revise its refund policy. If a train reaches the destination 3+ hours late, travellers who voluntarily file a TDR should receive a reasonable partial refund for the inconvenience and lost time.
@drmbct Ma'am/Sir, with due respect, kindly consider diverting at least a few MMCT/DDR/BDTS-bound trains (e.g., 12956, 12952) via the NAD–UJN–BPL–BSL–KYN–BSR route, if operationally feasible. It would provide passengers an escape route instead of waiting in stranded trains for hours.
@SCRailwayIndia@NewIndianXpress I don't know why the new IRCTC beta website is very similar to the old one (before the new generation one), with only some aesthetic changes.
@DRMBRCWR@WesternRly@RailMinIndia It appears that IR employees aren't even verifying basic details before posting on social media. Train number 22483 is not the Daund–Indore Superfast Express; it should be corrected to 22943.
@WesternRly Thank you for the clarification. Could WR also clarify whether an ALP/LP is permitted to leave the locomotive to purchase food during an authorized halt? If yes, sharing the relevant provision would help avoid similar misunderstandings in the future.
@WesternRly Ma'am/Sir, can you please share an interim list of existing Mail/Superfast trains whose Origination/termination will be shifted to the new terminal station, and seek the public/passengers' opinion, if any. This way, WR can build confidence among the public 🙂.
@drmmumbaicr Writing out of curiosity. As per current reforms under Jan Vishwas Act, the minimum penalty was set to Rs. 500. So, technically the minimum penalty for 46 passengers should be 46*500 = Rs 23000. I don't know why figures are different. Nevertheless, a good job.
@RatlamDRM@drmbct@WesternRly Dear Ma'am/Sir, The people standing on the other side platform were eagerly waiting for 12962 (Avantika Exp.). I hope this image is self-explanatory as to why Ujjain Jn. requires a new daily train on this route.
@secrail@RailMinIndia@GMSECR@AshwiniVaishnaw A very vague message. The TTE will obviously assist, but only after issuing a challan, as passengers travelling on the wrong train are effectively without a valid ticket. The advisory should clearly explain the exact procedure and possible relief available in such situations.
@KonkanRailway@RailMinIndia It appears that, in the IR, the person who prepares such posters or images is now feeling monotonous. Making mistakes has become normal. 28/06/2026 is a Monday? Seriously? At least one should double-check the images/posters before posting on social media channels.
@RatlamDRM@WesternRly Ma'am/Sir, with due respect, even 20 mins. becomes vital when the difference in catching the other is 14 mins. Also, many passengers use to catch T. Nos. 12956 and 12471/73/75/77 from Nagda and rely on 19315. Therefore, requesting a fair revision for T. No. 19315. Thank you!
Dear @RatlamDRM@WesternRly, it has become routine for T. No. 19315 to arrive late at Nagda, often after T. No. 12956 departs. A request to review and rationalise the timings of either train so that passengers can plan connecting journeys reliably—average delay data attached.
