@DavidFrangiosa @BoyleMath For example, "persevere in problem solving" is something we practice regularly, but in the past I didn't evaluate students on this specific skill. It wasn't a "standard" on our list. But could it be? How would you evaluate each student? And give feedback?

I no longer use points in my classroom because I don’t want my students to be so focused on collecting points that they lose sight of the purpose of my class, which is learning.

@_clayr_ When I allow re-takes I give full credit based on the most recent test. I loved how it changed the conversation. When the test is passed back Ss want to learn from mistakes not beg for a few points. Ss started asking for more review material earlier so they didn't have to retest.
