I used to have a sticky note on my desk that just said, "You're not marking errors. You're identifying trends."
This is one of the most important pieces of advice regarding feedback I can offer.
Kids don't need to know what they did wrong. They need to know what to learn next.
I’m ecstatic about finally letting my 6th/7th period work on the argumentative unit. We dipped our toes in a tiny bit before Winter Break and they have been begging every day for an opportunity to support a position again! @CMohning@BP_Vasquez
PSA: When you're the one doing things, you are also going to be the the one messing up. Every "mistake" or error you make is because you did something. Only people who don't do anything don't make mistakes, so own and admit your mistakes. Mistakes are proof you acted.
Can I just thank you for electrifying your session!! Interactive, informative, creative, and engaging. Can’t wait to create digital backout reviews, pixelated hooks, and other cool things for my 6th graders! @tonyvincent#CFISDDLC
@friEdTechnology always has fantastic templates and ideas! Shantel Lott’s session on Creating Engaging Online Learning will be a lifesaver, esp. this year. 😊 #CFISDDLC
