ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಗೃಹ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಗುರುಪೀಠದ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀಪ್ರಸನ್ನಾನಂದ ಪುರಿ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಖಂಡರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡಗಳ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಅಧಿನಿಯಮ–2022ರಡಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾದ ಶೇ.17 ಹಾಗೂ ಶೇ.7ರ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತು ಮುಂದಿನ ರೂಪುರೇಷೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಮಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾದ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಮನವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಾನೂನು ತಜ್ಞ ಪ್ರೊ. ರವಿವರ್ಮ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸ್ವಾಗತಾರ್ಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡಗಳ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನಬದ್ಧ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿರಲಿದೆ.

Visited the Office of the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Communication, Logistics & Modernization in Bengaluru for a review of the critical systems that keep the Karnataka State Police connected, responsive and future-ready.

Reviewed key areas including the wireless communication network, the 1930 Cyber Helpline, Namma 112 emergency response system, motor transport operations and ongoing modernisation initiatives.

Also reviewed measures to strengthen cyber fraud response through faster lien marking, closer coordination with banks, specialised training for personnel and greater use of digital platforms, along with the expansion of the digital wireless network, police IT infrastructure and forensic capabilities.

Modern policing requires modern technology. We will continue to strengthen digital infrastructure, intelligent systems and institutional capacity to enable faster response, better coordination and more effective policing across Karnataka.

UPSC is never meant for the lower middle class. It's always game for the high class and the poor class.

Rich can afford years of preparation because they have financial support Poor take the risk because they feel they have nothing to lose. But lower middle class is stuck in the middle they have responsibilities, financial pressure and less time to keep trying if they fail. So risk of preparing for UPSC is much bigger.

Why should a RAC passenger bear full charge for 50% of a side lower seat? Isn't it unfair?

Once the chart is prepared, Railways must refund 50% of the fare with interest for RAC passengers. The same source of payment can be used for the refund.

Pls implement this immediately. I see many ladies and senior citizens who travel by RAC, without sleep and they pay full charge.

If any of you reading this feel that this should be implemented immediately, comment with your thoughts and share until Railways makes it a fair deal for passengers.

This is long long overdue.

It’s a fact that in UPSC, SC ST OBCs do extremely well in written exams while there ranks get lowered because of Interviews. So the General Merit have a clear advantage in Interviews.

Now if we see lateral entry recruitment done by UPSC, there is no written tests, instead is based only on interviews.

This is dangerous. If the board wants some one to be recruited, they will ask them easy questions while abstract complex questions for those who don’t want to be selected.

In Lateral entry, the selection should be based on written exams alone and no interview should be conducted

In UPSC, do SC candidates get lower interview marks if they get higher written marks?

I took the recent marks list of 2025 and did an analysis to check this out.

Scatter plots of Written vs. Interview marks for SC and UR candidates, with trend lines.

The SC plot shows a downward slope (negative correlation): many top written SC performers cluster at lower interview scores.

The UR plot shows a mild upward trend, indicating a positive correlation between written and interview marks in the UR group. This divergence is evident in the exam results.

Such inverse pairing of low written–high interview and high written–low interview is prevalent in the SC data, contributing to the negative correlation. By contrast, in the UR group, strong written performance is often met with decent or even high interview marks (e.g. an UR candidate scoring 825 written was awarded 210 in interview

KPSC is Karnataka’s shame. The most corrupt body. Just to sell the KAS posts, the officials deliberately create confusion and make no proper arrangements. If the SSLC and PUC Boards can conduct much bigger exams without flaws, why can’t KPSC? KPSC should be dissolved and all officials involved in this should be prosecuted.
