- Google tried to secure more HBM for TPUs and was told it was “impossible.” The Google executive who failed to secure the memory supply was fired.
- Microsoft flew to Korea to negotiate memory supply. SK Hynix said no. One executive stormed out of the meeting.

AI ate the supply chain. The same RAM stick now costs about 3x what it did a year ago.

Honestly, I still don’t understand how telecoms in Nigeria operate. There’s just zero transparency.

I traveled to two countries recently, with layovers in two countries and got an eSIM before traveling with 10GB of data.

I spent 26 days across both countries, used my eSIM for about 4–6 hours every day, and whenever I wasn’t out, I was mostly on hotel or conference Wi-Fi.

What surprised me the most is that I used this same eSIM in five different countries—Nigeria included—and I STILL didn’t finish the 10GB. After 26+ days, I still have about 3GB left. The connection was fast, reliable, and just smooth.

So now I’m wondering… how is it that I can stretch 10GB for almost a month across multiple countries, but the same 10GB doesn’t even last three days on Nigerian networks, even when I’m doing the exact same things?

P.S. I was on Wi-Fi most of the time when I wasn’t outdoors.
