Kerala trip (limited view): 2 days Alleppey, 2 days Kochi, so not judging the whole state.
Clean places, far fewer potholes than most of India. People are mostly warm . Food is affordable, cabs fairly priced, and no one tries to loot tourists. Felt safe at night need(1/2).
