I've just realized that my writing niche for the past year and a half is 'monsters and tortured souls with a dark, checkered past trying their hardest to find the light.'
It’s a messy, painful journey, and honestly? It’s moved me to tears more than I’d like to admit

@AxelTalksFilm I think a studio dropping B or C tier characters isn't nscessarily the main problem. MCU succeeded with GOTG. Even Iron Man, Thor and Captain America weren't as popular as Spider-Man or Hulk or X-Men at that time. The issue, imho, is that DCU hasn't really proven their worthiness
@AxelTalksFilm I actually thought the contrary that DCU should've began with a more grounded character then builds up the universe gradually. It worked for MCU and even DCTV. But they don't want to wait. It's became clearer to me when they decided Man of Tomorrow instead of Superman's sequel
Oh, Man! It's happening again. A shared universe does need tonal boundaries. So much for filmmaker-driven approach.
But, James, you could actually follow The Conjuring Model. Just ask Peter Safran and trust the process.
Anyway, here's what I thought:

The ‘SUPERGIRL’ you saw in theaters wasn’t the only version.
Craig Gillespie and DC Studios each screened their own cut for test audiences. Gillespie’s ran 11 minutes longer with more Krem.
DC Studios’ cut won out.
Why does this sound familiar 🤔

@DCcomicsID Creative differences.
Itulah yang aku takutkan dr awal, dn smpt tuangin ke thread lama ini. Beneran filmmaker-driven projects yg mereplikasi line komiknya DC Comics? Hmm ga semudah itu nampaknya.

Now the bigger shift
Filmmaker-driven projects.
Supergirl. Lanterns. Clayface.
Lanterns? Detective/Neo-western style.
Clayface isn’t even “superhero-horror.” It’s full body-horror.
Those may change everything. #DCU

@Sksj002 That could be this way but only if Matt still remembered his meeting with Peter in No Way Home. The issue here is that the spell made it as if Peter never existed. That said, if Matt meets again with Peter, and then happens to meet with Spidey, he'll be able to identify him.
@Sksj002 What if the spell constantly and repeatedly make people forget who he is. In the trailer, it also seems like she has never met Peter before the coffee shop. Or maybe, Peter awkwardly says something like, "Hey my name's Peter, no, I mean Maynard, umm,,sorry, I gotta go".
@MarvelExrth616 Thor has suffered major losses enough and his journey is already one of the most tragic and emotionally impactful storylines, I would say. But yeah, he has Love now.
@ScottCoffinArt@Ones2Cents@DiscussingFilm At this moment, I can't really say anything. But, I'll remember all of these when watching the movie. I just think that since a movie is a collaborative product, issues may also rise because of director or producer's decision to throw away some parts of the writing.
@LeQGdesSupers Someone in the internet might have just said or guessed it. If it's so different, then I'd Shadow King. That mind-hopping thing is his power, right? Or Idk, maybe Black Sky? That's why The Hand is involved? Or yeah The Jackal? MCU's Spidey's origins connection?
@joaoguillll Contrary to what people believe, I think everybody would come to his funeral because he was our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. I mean, people would eventually find out Peter was Spidey when he died. No one would know Peter but everyone would know Spidey.
@MarvelExrth616 It makes me think that maybe Spider-Man: Brand New Day won't be the one people have been talking about. Because if everything were true, the movie would handle too many subplots. It may instead end up being very personal and grounded.
With the success of the Spider-Verse and #SpiderNoir, Sony has real chances to develop more Spidey variants' stories beyond Peter Parker.
So, I doubt they'll sell the rights back to Marvel. Instead, Sony should make an anthology #SpiderMan series:

Rumor: Sony May Sell Spider-Man Rights After Beyond the Spider-Verse
According to a source, Sony and Marvel are currently in quiet discussions regarding the future of their Spider-Man partnership.
While a renewal of the deal is expected after the current films, there are also reports suggesting that Sony is considering a potential sale of the Spider-Man IP rights once Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse wraps up.
The thinking behind this is that Sony believes it has already maximized the value of the character and could secure a significant financial deal while still retaining some producer or distribution rights.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, and a lot will likely depend on how Brand New Day performs at the box office.
@Sksj002 What's interesting to me is that if it's true, and seemingly many outlets have kinda confirmed it, that Sadie is playing Jean Grey, then why Marvel/Sony hasn't revealed it now? It seems to me her real identity is as important as the story itself.
@cosmic_marvel But not as Peter Parker because the MCU should continue with Miles after Tom Holland has done with his contract. Though not my first choice, but Owen could play a much younger version of Billy Braddock/Spider-UK in a space opera take of Spidey variant for Sony-owned universe.
