@MarkPalermo I wouldn’t be shocked if at least part of the inspiration for the story is the idea of “what if I learn the person I put on the pedestal of unachievable perfection is actually gross and fucked up like the rest of us, wouldn’t that be horrible”.
@MarkPalermo I think an important thing to remember is that Bear is the perspective character so it makes sense that he perceives the biggest threat is how her behavior impacts him, which goes along with there basically never being a moment where he isn’t thinking of himself first.
@sammisilber@obsessionmovie Saw it tonight, one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Had me wanting to crawl out of my skin basically the whole time (in the best way).
@daPhuc28@MikeBartner I agree, that’s why I was saying maybe reach out to Dallas and say that it’s your plan, and see if you can make a better deal for both of you. Because I’m sure Dallas doesn’t want all futures.
@MikeBartner Ivan Demidov when he’s asked to get an even strength point in the playoffs (I know the Habs are cooking and he’s obviously a good player, I’m just #noticing)
@DanHelll@CJC_95 To be fair the Ducks do have Quenneville as their coach, so while Hart is more personally shitty both sides have someone who shouldn’t be in the league.
@carebecc@bastardspod It was a fascinating gross listen. I knew about him of course but didn’t know the depths of depravity and definitely didn’t know how enmeshed he was with the most powerful people in their society
@PolitihackJr@thatssoleafy77@NHLRumourReport Washington is also very possible, especially if Ovechkin is retiring. They have a boatload of cap space, love big players, and have assets to give.
@MikeBartner Honestly worth watching the whole game highlights, his assists were just as good. Cole Hutson and Ilya Protas in the same year both outside of the 1st round looks like crazy work from the Capitals
@_KEVINFINNERTY@MidnightEcho94@CapitalsDieHard Puckpedia lists his estimated career earnings at over 173 million dollars, just in salary, no endorsements or anything. He has the money for his family to be taken care of for generations. Everything has to come to an end eventually.
@dcalyssa My take is while losing games is probably for the best (although I don’t think we’re actually going to be able to move up much in the draft), I’m happy with wins as long as they are cool and fun, and this qualified.
@Jimmy4vr@MikeBartner He might not play the first game, Carbery often likes new additions to sit out the first game to get a feel for the system before playing, but maybe with a star prospect it’ll be different, Leonard may have played the first eligible game.
@MikeBartner I think there’s at least a decent chance it happens, the man has spent his whole adult life in DC, has a wife and kids and all that family back there. Would be the ultimate team guy move to grab the team assets then come home, fingers crossed.
@carebecc@joerussotweets I’ve seen this more than once, dumbass Scream fans claiming that pro Palestinian activists were the reason Trump got re-elected. It’s a coping mechanism to try to paint the Melissa supporters as more morally wrong than them.
