I stopped by the offices of The Fretboard Journal in Seattle, the finest guitar magazine in the land! I picked up issue 59, with Jeff Tweedy on the cover and my transcription of “Bike” from Autechre Guitar inside. The first TABs they’ve ever published in their 20 year history! 🤯
Twitter will never be interesting or thought provoking again. You won't be able to find niche weirdos writing unfiltered interesting new things, it won't be a relief from the rest of the world and the rest of the Internet. What is true about this is I don't think we've made a profitable record since the mid 2000s. The revenues generated from streaming are rarely significant enough to pay back recording costs. And definitely not if you include my own labor. Recordings are largely us recycling 90s royalties back to the fans.
I'll also point out - I've covered Georgia's voting laws and systems (and Fulton issues) deeper than just about anyone else for 8+ years, trained as a poll worker + was present on the ground for all of this... thank you to those trying to election-splain!
