So, so relieved to learn this. I was included in 1C vaccine distribution already for being fat (✨excited it finally got me some sort of advantage✨) but I was super worried about my coworkers. This isn’t the only thing we need, but it’s a big deal.
It was just confirmed by Metro HR and the library director that library workers in Louisville will now be included in phase 1C of the vaccine distribution.

Haven’t delved into the details of this yet but my initial concern is that I’m hearing a whole lot about funding for buildings but not anything about extra staffing positions to run those buildings. Middletown is still running with abbreviated hours because of lack of staffing.

At 9:37am, the LouVax site announced it would be closing “in order to protect the safety of volunteers, clients and staff.” It is 1:34pm and library staff have only been told to expect to be open.
