Lukaku's first touch turn to gold for Belgium. Game on from here.
Egypt has been wasteful in front of goal and this might eventually hurt them at the end.
🤯🇨🇻 Vozinha's life has just changed forever.
After his heroic performance against Spain, the 40-year old Cape Verde goalkeeper has already gained more than 1 million followers on Instagram and looks set to become one of the breakout stars of the World Cup.
From national hero to global sensation in a matter of hours. 👏🌍📲
EVERY World Cup in the last decade has started with complaints, but ended in praise. But memories are short 😭. Football culture is bigger than hiccups. America is showing that this time around. Qatar was called the worst World Cup ever until it became the best World Cup ever 🤷🏿♀️

Super Eagles already saw the future by not qualifying for this World Cup bcos by now Mr Trump would have sent back half of the squad and half of the coaching crew.

In case you didn’t watch the World Cup today (matchday 3)
>Brazil & Morocco drew 1-1. Brazil was terrible.
>Qatar drew Switzerland 1-1 on a 90+4’ equalizer
>Scotland beat Haiti off a John McGinn goal
>Australia shocked everyone & beat Türkiye 2-0 despite Türkiye attempting 28 shots
>Vini Jr. was awarded MOTM in the Brazil-Morocco game but we all know 18 y/o Ayyoub Bouaddi should have won (what a performance)
>Brazil’s midfield is slow & lacks class. Brazil’s fullbacks are slow & got cooked in 1v1s all day. Brazil’s attack could really use João Pedro
>Qatar’s draw vs Switzerland was their first ever point at a World Cup. The entire team collapsed in happiness on the pitch at the final whistle.
>Switzerland were awarded a controversial penalty due to potential offside in the buildup play. FIFA didn’t show the VAR review on TV.
Garry Nevill called it a dictatorship the way FIFA pick and chose when to use VAR
>Scottish fans TOOK OVER Boston Stadium
>That John McGinn goal was football heritage
>Nestory Irankunda did Tim Cahill's historic ‘punch the corner flag’ celebration after scoring vs. Turkey
>England players were told to shelter indoors due to tornado warnings near their camp in Kansas City
>FIFA covered brand logos on all condiments at World Cup stadiums with tape.
>A report came out that 9,000 sex workers are expected to come to Toronto during the World Cup
I’ll be posting daily recaps all World Cup long, follow me pookie :)
While watching the parade of nations at the ongoing opening ceremony of 2026 FIFA World Cup, I feel very ashamed for Nigeria.
Curaçao and Cape Verde made it to the world cup but Nigeria failed to qualify for a 48-team tournament. Those two countries combined are not up to Niger state in terms of landmass and their combined population is not up to Lagos State population.
Shameful!

@rahjoe_RRM Bro, Qatar like i said earlier will host this edition wirhout hassle. There are enough FIFA approved stadiums with other necessary facilities to host the tournament.
@paris_wisdom That rule out Canada there only a handful of Countries that can host the world by their own in the world 🌎 going forward with this 48 team tournament I don’t think they are up to 10 as we speak
With the tournament expanding to 48 teams and 104 matches, the infrastructural demands of hosting a World Cup have become truly massive.
Realistically, only the US and potentially the UK possess the existing stadium capacity to handle it alone.
