On December 16, 1912, OC lost a hero. Robert Squires was killed in the line of duty while pursuing an armed fugitive during what became the bloodiest gun battle in county history. He was the first OC peace officer to make the ultimate sacrifice. We honor his courage and service.

The AOCDS Pipe Band and @OCSheriff Color Guard opened the SACRS Conference before 700+ attendees. Our Pipe Band performed beautifully and the OCSD Color Guard proudly presented the colors.

We mourn the loss of Officer Lauren Craven, 25, of La Mesa PD, who was killed while helping motorists on I‑8 near Grantville. AOCDS sends deepest condolences to her family, colleagues, and all impacted by this tragic loss.
