Conheci Rampage primeiramente em sua versão de Master System (1988) mesmo, família. Uma vez, fui ao fliperama e fiquei muito empolgado com o King of the Monsters, por causa dos kaiju e tal. Daí um colega de escola recomendou o Rampage como uma alternativa que dava pra jogar em casa, no Master. Então aluguei e acabei achando bem melhor que o jogo de luta da SNK.

Quartet de Master System (1987) é outro jogo do nosso querido 8-bit que só fiquei conhecendo bem depois que o console já era velho. Trata-se de um jogo de plataforma adaptado do título de mesmo nome de fliperama.

Apresenta uma dupla (em vez de um quarteto), Mary e Edger, que podem usar jetpacks para atravessar seis fases repletas de inimigos em busca do caixão da Rainha Cynthia. A vitalidade é medida por uma contagem regressiva, forçando o jogador a percorrer as fases rapidamente. Não o considero um game incrível, mas este gimmick é interessante.

E.D.F. - Earth Defense Force (1991) é um side-scrolling shoot 'em up da Jaleco que conheci tardiamente e me surpreendeu bastante. É bem desafiador e também muito divertido e bonito, um daqueles que você inicia uma partida de bobeira e acaba querendo ir até o final.

Em E.D.F., os jogadores controlam caças futuristas que devem atravessar fases infestadas de inimigos e seus chefões. Eles usam uma variedade de armas poderosas que podem receber upgrades via um sistema de progressão de níveis onde se ganha experiência na medida em que se destrói as forças do mal. Além da versão de arcade, esta do vídeo, o game saiu também para Wii, iOS, Wii U, Switch, Anstream e PlayStation 4.
