I would like to use this news to introduce myself and also give some context about the TIME piece story. ⬜️
I am Han, a 27 years old artist who is fascinated by this permissionless technology and using it to create my own infrastructure for my art.
Back then, I was very lucky to acquire this piece when @krybharat (a dear friend and patron of my art) bid transaction got stuck during the auction. After the auction he was very happy that I got the piece and said: "Everything happens for a reason"
After some time, @Vince_Van_Dough, whose taste I admire, created an incredible collection for Starry Night. They offered me a significant amount to acquire the piece.
I asked @beeple and @KeithGrossman if it would it be okay to sell and the responses were, "Of course, it is a fucking life changing amount."
Although it felt bittersweet to sell, this piece allowed me to build my own team, launch my project, and set long-term goals to focus on my craft.
I recently heard wise and warm words from dear friend @pablorfraile "When you do things that you like, when you are persistent, when you are supporting others, when you are participating, things are coming to place that life has a way."
Mike is one of the motion design pioneers, he brought big attention to this ecosystem, and supported others. Circling back to today, I was lucky again to get back his ONLY @SuperRare piece. Ngl, it feels amazing 😂
Last but not least, I am not a collector, I am one of the artists who is trying to find his/her place in this world. But that does not mean I can't collect.
I have big respect to all 'patrons and artists' who are helping others to achieve their goals, and the people who are pushing this space forward. I am grateful for the caring people I have met and the wasp amount of opportunities this ecosystem offered.
I attached Mike's comment from yesterday!
Been a journey.
if people view your project as purely a digital asset to be traded for financial gain, then in that context choosing not to pay royalties "makes sense" when that is the norm of other asset classes (coins, stocks, real estate, etc) it is competing against...
however, if you are interested in retaining royalties I think you will need to convince people to view your project as "art" -where there is more of a precedent of patronage.
unfortunately how your project is perceived is up to the market, not you. 🤔

I’m happy to announce that I’ve joined Netflix to develop a new original IP AAA game. I’m really excited to build a team and to work with the amazing Joseph Staten, Jerry Edsall and Chacko Sonny to bring a new world to life ❤️
Exactly 1 year ago 🥳 the _overeXposed_ collection was established with the purchase of "Taxmen" 20/20, 2019 by @XCOPYART. One acquisition transformed into a passion with a goal to create the most diverse X collection in existence. Big TY❤️ to many frens I've met along the way!
