As you may know, effective today (April 9), President Trump has announced an increase in tariffs on goods imported from China. This change raises the tariff from 54% to an overwhelming 104%, posing significant challenges to our industry and those who rely on it.
Today, the APA and NFA had a productive meeting with the White House Office of Public Liaison, where we shared the challenges facing the U.S. fireworks industry. From our reliance on China to the immediate impact of new tariffs, we made sure our concerns were heard loud and clear
President Trump has responded to China's recent 34% retaliatory tariff increase. If China does not withdraw this increase by April 8, the U.S. will implement an additional 50% tariff starting April 9. Trade talks with China will also cease!
