Although @teamsecret had made efforts to retain their 2025 roster, they were unable to match the offer from GAM.

Similarly with LCK and LPL, our calendar for Split 3 is very challenging to navigate. We are taking a big risk to implement Swiss format to accommodate to the little time we have with the teams, while still providing meaningful competition to qualify for Worlds.

LCK weekend matches are moving to 5PM (KR local time, 4PM GMT8) in 2026.

This is one of the reasons LCP is changing the start time to 2PM GMT8 for Split 1 is to avoid overlapping majority of LCK.

Being on the same timezone with LCK means that we have to be extra mindful with overlaps to optimize for fans that follows both regions.

As mentioned previously, we will observe and be open to making tweaks or even revert or start time if necessary. 🙏

LCP 2026 will be seeing some format changes.

1) Split 3 will be Swiss Bo3 + Bo5
2) Start time for Split 1 will be 2PM GMT+8 (local time) instead of 5:30PM
3) Championship Points are coming!
4) All Playoffs Bo5s, no more Bo3 to qualify into Worlds and all other global events.
5) 1v1 is out, 2v2 is in
