Now even the APBPA's outside legal counsel, Peter Weinstein, has been libeled and slandered by Jen Madison. Please see his response. Please note sections 10 and 11:
10. While Dr. Weinstein represents the APBPA, he does not represent its members in an individual manner. This includes not representing Kameron Loe, President of the APBPA and Kevin Simmon, a Board member, in any legal matter. So, Defendant’s statement that Dr. Weinstein represents either Kameron Loe or Kevin Simmons is false and untrue.
11. Next, Dr. Weinstein is handling legal matters for the APBPA as a pro bono client and has not been paid any money by the APBPA for his services. Thus, Defendant’s statement that Dr. Weinstein is getting paid with “embezzled APBPA assistance funds” is false, libelous, and defamatory.
The two of the most famous clowns from the first half of the twentieth century, former APBPA Board Member, Nick Altrock, and Al Schacht. After both pitchers suffered injuries that effectively ended their playing careers, they went on to coach for the Senators, where they realized their comedy routine would extend their time in professional baseball. Despite an early and often aggressive dislike of each other, the two decided to work together with a clowning routine, becoming entertainment at every Senators game that fans adored! Their performances included costumes, large gag props, boxing, rowing boats during rain delays, and lots of pantomiming. They were even hired to perform at the World Series in 1922! Their salaries rivaled the great players of the era, including founding APBPA member Babe Ruth, who was one of their biggest fans. They performed together for more than a decade before splitting up in 1934 and continuing on to perform solo. Altrock remained with the Senators as coach and performer until 1957.
Everyone's got a favorite player! Maybe it's the one you looked up to as a kid, the teammate who inspired you be your absolute best, or the player you look at now as taking the game to the next level. Let us know who ranks on the top of your list in the comments.
We have so much to be grateful about, but today we want to give a special thanks to our APBPA members. Without your support and passion for the community and all things baseball, our organization wouldn't be what it is today! Thank YOU!
Featured Former APBPA Board Member: Roger Peckinpaugh
Roger was shortstop and manager in the MLB from 1910 through 1927, where he played for the Cleveland Naps (now @CleGuardians), @Yankees, Washington Senators (now @Twins), and @whitesox.
Peckinpaugh was discovered as a high school student by Nap Lajoie who signed him to his first professional contract with the Cleveland Naps. During his time with the Yankees, manager Frank Chance resigned with three weeks left in the season and Peckinpaugh, then team captain, managed the team for the remainder of the season (20 games) in 1914, making him the youngest manager in MLB history at 23 years old. After his playing career, Peckinpaugh managed the Indians for seven years, was a minor league manager, and served in the front office of the Indians and Buffalo Bisons.
He was named American League Most Valuable Player in 1925 and played in the World Series three times!

As we stated, the APBPA is taking steps to end the illegal use of its marks and name by those without legal authority to do so. The filing of this federal lawsuit against Jennifer S Madison and Nate Miller is just the first step by the APBPA to end all actions by those individuals who have and continue to mislead and defame the APBPA and its members. Our next step will be to file lawsuits in Arizona and Texas State Courts where those who have undertaken actions against the APBPA and its members will be dealt with individually. Stay tuned. More to come soon.
"Dear APBPA,
It is with great appreciation and thankfulness that I send this letter your way.
The generosity and kindness from all of you lifts my spirits and tremendously has helped me through these hard times and I will forever be thankful to all of you.
The help this association provides their ballplayers has been a life saver for me. Because of all of you, I will be able to stand tall and walk unassisted once again…AND what a day that will be.
Thanks the association from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for looking out for us ball players.
– Coach Ike Blessit"
