Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the immediate repair of the failed Mosogar–Oghara section of the Warri–Benin Highway, moving to ease the hardship of motorists and commuters.

The Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze, disclosed this while announcing the Governor’s approval, noting that the intervention underscores the administration’s commitment to responding swiftly to infrastructure challenges that impact the welfare of citizens and the movement of people and goods.

He explained that although the Warri–Benin Highway is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government, the severity of the deterioration along the affected stretch made immediate state intervention imperative. He added that contractors have already mobilised to site to commence emergency remedial works aimed at restoring traffic flow, improving safety, and reducing the burden on road users.
