... And oh, I've been in OR my entire nursingcareer, so this is not some hearsay.
Every patient I have talked to in the OR, is paying something regardless of insurance status.
They're often told it's price of special things needed in the theatre.
This needs to be talked about!!
While we all expect to get paid well, this is a really significant issue. Some surgeons charge outrageous amounts for elective surgeries like hernia, hemorrhoids. Patient who can't afford have to stay home until the condition becomes an emergency (strangulated hernias,.....
Amazing logic.
Underpay them, overwork them, then act shocked when money becomes part of the conversation.
This country loves to romanticize sacrifice when it does not want to fund competence.
In Ghana, once your work is called “noble,” prepare to be underpaid and guilt-tripped indefinitely.
.... Yet, they charge patients outrageous amounts before performing needed surgeries - the work they've been trained, and get higher pay, to do.
This is a really significant issue.
Why do you get water spots on a car if you wash it without drying the water off it, but no water spots appear if it dries on its own after it rains on the car?
Anyone?
@Ijustwantpiss@Michael34844931@DavidHundeyin Let me ask: If the Bible-the entire book-is truly inspired by God, what would you expect to see/know before you believe that? What will cnvince you, that, indeed, this info here has a divine source?
That's the question I ask myself, and the answer I found is what I shared earlier
@Ijustwantpiss@Michael34844931@DavidHundeyin History - Writers recorded their own shortcomings, mxtakes, n that of their nation-smething uncommon in biographies
* Prophecy -the book of Daniel's description of successive world powers, etc.
* Explains life's big questions-how we came here?Why do we die?Why much suffering?etc
@Ijustwantpiss@Michael34844931@DavidHundeyin Aligns with scientific FACTS (not theories), and was ahead of its time in some cases. Eg (Earth is a sphere Isaiah 40:22, Earth hangs upon nothing, Job 26:7, water cycle Job 36:27,28, segregation of people wit infectious dx, persnal n environmntl hygiene Books of Numbers n Deut)
@PenTitan Seeing a lot of comments like "live your life to the fullest" as if being a Christian prevents you from doing that. If anything at all, it shows you how to do that.
"Protect our life as much as we can, and not be in a hurry to go...." is exactly what being religious means/should be. I know most self professed Christians may say/do otherwise, but "life's a precious gift that must be protected, now and forever" is what the Bible teaches.
Nobody has died and come back to tell us what the afterlife is like
All we have are faith notions based on religions, mythologies based on cultures, and philosophical assumptions
Based on that, I think we should really do the best we can to preserve our lives as best as we can, and not be in hurry to get to some paradise you have no proof exists
