Conducted a detailed review of Muharram arrangements at Imam Bargah Chek Saderbal, Nigeen, and Meerak Shah Colony along with all concerned officers. Reviewed the preparedness to ensure smooth and hassle-free observances.

While all necessary arrangements have been put in place, I also directed the concerned departments to work on permanent solutions to certain long-pending issues and prepare a comprehensive developmental plan for these areas.

Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Smt. Sakina Itoo, today visited the Sahoo and Sachan areas of D.H. Pora constituency in District Kulgam to review and assess the arrangements being made for the forthcoming holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the visit, she inspected the preparedness on the ground and interacted with officials regarding essential facilities and services. The Minister was accompanied by officers from the district administration and other concerned departments, and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to ensure smooth and hassle-free observance of Muharram for the public.

On the request of MLA Zadibal (@tanvirsadiq) and representations received from the public, and keeping in view the sanctity of Muharram and the large number of processions and Majlis being observed across Kashmir from 23rd to 27th June, the Education Department has directed all Government and recognized Private Schools not to conduct any in-house, internal or term examinations during these dates.

This decision has been taken to ensure that students do not face difficulties due to traffic diversions and road closures and are able to participate in religious observances and academic activities without inconvenience.

All concerned institutions are directed to strictly comply with these instructions. Any deviation or non-compliance shall be viewed seriously and shall invite disciplinary action under the relevant rules and regulations.

Accompanied Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, School & Higher Education, and Social Welfare, Ms. Sakeena Masood Itoo Sahiba (@sakinaitoo ) during her visit to SDH Hazratbal. She directed the concerned authorities to immediately commence work on the extension of the 50-bedded hospital, for which approval was recently accorded by the Cabinet. This marks a historic milestone in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Hazratbal.

Also visited PHC Burzahama and interacted with local residents. The Hon’ble Minister directed the district administration to expedite all formalities related to the land required for the construction of the new PHC, ensuring that the project is taken up at the earliest for the benefit of the people. I am immensely grateful for her generous support to ensure timely intervention & commencement of these prestigious healthcare projects across #Hazratbal Assembly segment.

The introduction of a halt for the Vande Bharat Express at Anantnag Railway Station, secured through the efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister Jb Omar Abdullah and approved by the Hon’ble Railway Minister, will greatly benefit commuters, boost tourism, improve connectivity, and strengthen the local economy.
