Celebrating World Conservation Strategy Day!

Conservation strategy is about protecting living things and guiding policies. The goal includes three things: preserving ecological processes and life support systems, keeping genetic diversity, and ensuring #sustainable use of species and ecosystems.

Restorasi Ekosistem Riau (RER) does this through various programs like natural regeneration, restoring #biodiversity, and ecosystem services. RER has identified and protected 894 (by December 2023) species of plants and animals, some critically endangered. RER also works with local communities to protect traditional activities and support small businesses, while educating people about the importance of environment and biodiversity conservation.

More than 10,000 people live in APRIL Group's townsite near Pangkalan Kerinci. It's a community of employees, their families, and others who help make the complex a functioning and dynamic society.
