This afternoon school councillors have been encouraging wildlife into the school grounds by adding pots of spring flowers to the reception outdoor area. Have a look as you go past!

The other half of our school council have delivered @ReFoodUK fruit waste bins into classrooms. We are excited to see how much power we can generate from our banana skins and apple cores!

Our councillors are busy this lunchtime labelling up our bins with posters from @ReFoodUK . Check it before you chuck it!

As part of our work on slimming our bins, we have collected boxes with objects included below. We need volunteers to help take a bag to St Nicks recycling centre (YO10 3FW) as part of their partnership with Terracycle. Please let us know if you can help! @FoapAcomb @acombprimary

APS Council want our empty milk cartons taken away and added to plastic recycling bins. Let us know if you are able to take any home to recycle.

We are planning on keeping the Christmas Jumper swap open until Friday 31st January. Keep the Christmas jumpers coming! Please take them to the school office. Thank you!

We are sorry to have to cancel the Christmas jumper swap tomorrow. Hopefully we can run this next year. You’re welcome to collect any donated jumpers from the school office or leave them for us to use next year! Thank you

The Great Christmas Jumper Swap! Every year, 1 in 4 Christmas jumpers are thrown away, APS Council want to change this. More information below! @acombprimary @FoapAcomb

Tonight, we discussed how we can save our crisp packets to recycle and support a local charity @BCS_York
Please add any empty crisp packets to the labelled bin in the school entrance and after your lunch during the school day! @acombprimary @FoapAcomb
