You’ll always notice the red flags one way or another. It could be how the CEO speaks to their PA, how the CTO treats engineers when shit happens, or how quickly the CISO asks, “Who tested it?” whenever something goes wrong.

Whenever you’re interviewing for a new role, ask why they’re hiring for that position. What happened to the last person who held it? Is this a replacement, or is the team expanding?

Don’t be afraid to ask these questions. Better safe than sorry.
