@MyGolfSpy I don’t miss long because of course management. On 3 of the 4 par 3’s at my home course long is absolutely dead like very likely lost ball dead so I always play for the front half of the green especially with the wind either being into or helping it makes distance control hard
@engineeringolf This is where I am different to everyone else. I used mallets with long alignment lines and couldn’t line up a 3 footer. Discovered I don’t see horizontal lines straight but can line the face up perpendicular to target much better. Changed to putter with no lines and improved
@acaseofthegolf1 I always relate it back to how expensive is it to go on holiday with travel and accommodation spending money etc. these guys are basically doing the same thing for 20+ weeks a year plus have people’s wages to pay whilst they are doing it. Costs quickly mount up.
@engineeringolf had been heard all the talk about 45 degree angled grooves and they are the reason for topspin and could never figure out a technical reason angled grooves help get the ball rolling. Your just answered the question for me. You are one of the best accounts on X I enjoy your posts
@4golfonline Crossfield house tomorrow morning, “does this toast taste a bit funny to you mum” although the image is clearly ai generated because any of Marks clubs wouldn’t be that clean 🤪
@f_lindblom I like your content but this seems a bit off as a brand ambassador for a spikes company to be pushing this kind of narrative without mentioning the fact that you have an affiliation with them.
@engineeringolf@InsideTourGolf I have seen a lot of ping fairway woods and hybrids looking like this. Is the club likely to fail when it gets to this point or is it just cosmetic?
@Mike_kim714 Is there any possibility it was cracked last week? Hit any shots that gave an unexpected result from it or have you been lucky and it’s happened between the masters and just now?
@_KeithCook Professional golfers are insanely good at what they do, what other activity would a governing body actively try to reduce the ability of someone who is the best in the world at something they do and what differentiates them from the normal person?
@_KeithCook Or they have hit a drive at a ball speed 15-20mph more than I can or hit a low screaming banana shot around a tree, nipped a little chip shot off a tricky lie to a tucked pin. Using similar equipment as them I can appreciate just how good the shot was that they have hit.
@_KeithCook The thing I like about golf and watching it is that when someone at the top of the game playing their best or hitting an unbelievable shot I can sort of quantify how good the shot was by my abilities. I would have hit x club from that distance they have hit 2, 3 clubs less cont,
@MyGolfSpy Also 66% to 34% isn’t exactly a landslide on a small sample of just over 3000 golfers when there are millions of people who play golf. Take this on another day with a different audience and the result could easily flip the other way.
@MyGolfSpy I have used a mallet for most of the 34 years I have played and never been good inside 6 ft. Turns out I line up a blade with no alignment aid better and I am actually putting better with a blade measured with arccos data from the last few years. Sweeping statements don’t fit all
