This kind of disingenuous nonsense from Labour is corrosive to democracy. It's the same nonsense they pulled in Caerphilly right before coming a pathetic third with just 11% of the vote. For Labour, entitlement is the default setting.

More needs to be said about Fiona Bruce saying 'we talk about the cost of living every week' in response to @ZackPolanski As if immigration is also not mentioned every week on #bbcqt. The BBC is itself playing a part in creating public connections of immigration as a key divide.

Once again, I am appalled by the descent of the UK Labour party into apologism for the worst kind of scapegoating. Labour are aping the rise of fascism in this country, as the Tories did before them. And the BBC is contributing to the conditions in which that is happening.

My initial inclination had been to wait until all candidates were announced before making up my mind. But today makes things clearer, Labour are handing the keys to the UK to fascists. There is little time to shift the discourse and we need to be vocal now, without further delay.
