I think if Aristotle walked into a modern university & headed to a philosophy class (or any social sciences class) he’d be shocked at the number of women.

He’d also be surprised that the institution of slavery has lost all legitimacy & died out nearly everywhere.

He’d definitely be challenged by learning of states like the US, India or France, that practice democracy on a continental scale & have universal adult franchise.

He would find the general spread of literacy unnerving, and would probably have a hard time wrapping his head around both market capitalism & welfare socialism.

But at the same time Aristotle, being the sharp fellow that he was, would realise that while humanity had made real progress in its thought, culture, and world view, that progress was very slow, and perhaps even inadequate, compared to technical and material development and the enormous destructive power these had placed in human hands.
