This year the Anderson Reading Clinic Literacy-Cast sent over 700 books to children, hosted 10 virtual author/illustrator visits, and created over 350 books of our own. We are so grateful for the gift from AT&T which has made all of this possible. #readwritecreate
We are so excited to have author & illustrator @studiojjk joining Literacy-Cast as our author in virtual residence! Our young authors and illustrators are counting down the sleeps!
Special thanks to AT&T for the generous gift making this residency possible. @evans01

In the Anderson Reading Clinic, we continue to grow in our shared understanding of literacy & literacy instruction. This week we've studied the art of @bisabutler, specifically "The Safety Patrol," and dived deep into what it means to be an ally. #readwritecreate@AppstateRCOE
Only 20 more sleeps until @kwamealexander

Today in Literacy-Cast we listened to The Hill We Climb by @theamandagorman and our young students Zoom-chatted responses to this poem. Then our amazing Poet/GA, @misshudson, "found" this poem in the chat. Inspired words found. @AppstateRCOE
This week in Literacy-Cast, we've been studying the mural Gateway/Portales by @rosaliaTWeiner. Such an amazing window and mirror for our young artists! #readwriteconnect
When the K-5 children in Literacy-Cast talk about the authors that they have met or studied, they call them by their first names--Sara (@saravaron1 ), Raul (@raulthe3rd), Nikki (@NikkiGiovanni6 ), and Kwame (@KwameAlexander). It's like they are talking about their friends.
