Great discussion on importance of explainable AI in healthcare setting. Interpretability key to integrating AI into routine clinical practice. Looking forwards to exploring explainable AI within Trauma & Orthopaedics with @ARCH3RY_Project@iCAIRD_Scot@AbdnCHDS@CSO_Scotland
We look forwards to starting work on the ARCHERY-PATHWAY project soon; working in collaboration with @ScotVArthritis & @scotorth to develop a patient and clinician designed solution to prioritisation for those awaiting arthroplasty surgery. More details coming soon! @docfarrow
Attention hip and knee patients and orthopaedic specialists – your help is greatly needed! Please share your ideas on how to support people to stay as well as possible while waiting for hip and knee replacement operations https://t.co/od0sALJuR1 #SolvingTogether#BestMSKhealth
Our new paper published in the BJJ this month is designed to help those involved in T&O appropriately interpret, perform and report Machine Learning research - https://t.co/OQvOeKldrR. 1st publication as part of the @ARCH3RY_Project 🙌🏻 @AbdnCHDS@GrahamAnderLes@CSO_Scotland
The NHS is in uncharted territory with elective waiting lists. ARCHERY will examine if AI can help improve the efficiency of current arthroplasty referral. In addition our PATHWAY project will elicit perspectives on wait-list prioritisation to help inform future service delivery.
Really looking forwards to our work exploring prioritisation of those awaiting arthroplasty operations to help deliver ethical care and equality in the face of these massive challenges!
@BritOrthopaedic President Prof John Skinner speaking at @future_surgery Conference. Describes T&O waiting list as ‘probably biggest single challenge the NHS has faced since it’s inception’. Important to be part of discussion on solutions. #fs21
Official account for the CSO Funded ARCHERY Project is a go - Look forwards to keeping everyone up to date with our research as we work to improve service delivery for those awaiting hip and knee arthroplasty! #orthotwitter@CSO_Scotland@aberdeenuni@docfarrow @ScotVArthritis
