They found that dsRNA, applied preventatively or curatively, inhibits myrtle rust disease and improves plant growth and recovery following severe infections. These findings have immediate potential in the management of the more than 10-year epidemic of myrtle rust in Australia.
I'm very proud of my PhD students @bec_degnan and Leny Jane Pame who both won oral prizes at #APPS2023 in Adelaide! Well done Bec and Leny! @UQ_SCMB @QAAFI
The #APPS2023 conference started today! Several team members will be presenting their work in the next few days: Dr Chris Brosnan, Dr Mohsen Khani, @Cathryn_Todd_SA, @anne_swyr ,@Curious_Tory , Dr Linda Smith, @bec_degnan,Dr Prabhakaran T Sambasivam, Mrs Leny Jane Pame.
Prof Kathy Evans is working with Tassie wine grape growers to give them site-specific answers about botrytis.
Growers will select which botrytis management practices to test on their vineyards with expert guidance from the project team. Find out more: https://t.co/2rQ65enoKl
Our own PhD student Pratyush competing on @UQ_News all institutes 3 minutes thesis competition, talking about potential of RNA-based bio-pesticides to fight Fusarium in wheat! We are very proud of his work!#phdlife#phdchat#cropprotection @QAAFI @QAAFI_EMCR
